We are really pleased to announce the opening of our new Contest centre in Palma, Mallorca. From here we can now extend the fullness of our specialist support right into the heart and hub of Mediterranean sailing for all Contest customers and new enquirers, whether visiting or based in these fine sailing grounds.
Our new Palma centre, Contest Yachts Mediterranean, offers sales of both new and brokerage yachts and every level of service and management. Shipping is also within the portfolio as we share premises with our partner-provider Sevenstar Yacht Transport.
Contest Yachts Mediterranean is led by Mark van Gelderen whose sparkling CV includes time as build supervisor and then captain of the magnificent Hoek designed 35-metre Firefly, the first of the wonderful eye-candy, classically styled F-Class. A seasoned yachting project manager as well as professional racer, skippering everything from maxis to Extreme 40s, Mark has sailed since childhood and first hooked into international big boat racing aged just 16. With extensive boat building experience, Mark also graduated in naval architecture.
